DIY Wreaths
When you hang up a decorative wreath, it allows you to bring a festive and seasonal splash of color into your home. However, buying premade wreaths can be costly. Instead of buying a wreath from a department store, you can make your own handmade wreath using materials that you can gather from around your house or purchase from a craft store. This allows you to customize the wreath to suit your personal preferences.

1
Lay newspapers over the area where you will be working. This will protect the counter or tabletop from hot glue spills that can damage the surface.
-
2
Lay a vine wreath base onto the newspaper. Select a vine wreath in the size that you want to hang on your wall.
-
-
3
Insert a hot glue stick into a hot glue gun, plug it in, and allow it to heat for 10 minutes.
-
4
Squeeze four to six dime-sized dollops of hot glue onto the vine wreath form, and drape silk greenery over the wreath form. Press the greenery onto the hot glue, and allow it to harden for two minutes.
-
5
Squeeze four to six more dime-sized dollops of hot glue onto the wreath form, and press silk flowers and eucalyptus branches onto the hot glue. Hold the flowers and eucalyptus in place for three minutes to allow the hot glue to harden. Select flowers that are the colors and types that you had envisioned for the wreath.

Cut a piece of 2-inch-wide ribbon to measure 18 inches long. Tie the ribbon into a large bow. Squeeze a quarter-sized dollop of hot glue onto the wreath, and press the bow onto the hot glue. Hold the bow in place for three minutes to allow the hot glue to harden.
