How to File for British Citizenship
Each and every year, Britain accepts a number of foreign people to become British Citizens. Applications from a number of countries can be accepted with many people looking to escape hardship in their own country and try to build a new life in Britain. To apply for British citizenship, you must download the relevant application form and complete the details required. The whole process can take anywhere between a couple of weeks to a few months to complete.

Turn on your computer and open up your Internet browser. Type "http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/britishcitizenship/" in to the address bar. Click on the "Form Finder" button at the bottom of the page.

Enter the relevant details such as the country you currently live in, the country you were born and your date of birth. Click on "Search". This will give you a list of citizenship forms which you can use to apply.

Select the form from the list which is relevant to you and click "Apply". This will take you to a new page that will tell you how much it will cost you to apply. Click "Download Form" in order to download the form on to your computer.

Open up the document and fill in the required details. Print off the completed form.

Deliver the completed form to the UK Border Agency or nearest British Diplomatic Post. They will check your application to make sure the payment is correct and it is filled in correctly. They will then submit the citizenship application on your behalf.
