How to Fully Remove Spybot Search & Destroy
Spybot Search & Destroy is an antispyware program that runs on all versions of Windows. It can scan your computer for problems and fix them as well as immunize your computer and protect it from other threats. If you no longer want to use Spybot, you can uninstall it from the Windows Control Panel. After you uninstall it normally, Spybot leaves certain files and folders behind on your hard drive. You can remove these files and folders to fully remove Spybot Search & Destroy from your computer.

Click "Start" and click "Control Panel."

Click "Uninstall a Program" under "Programs" in the Control Panel window.

Click "Spybot - Search & Destroy" in the list of installed programs and click "Uninstall" on the toolbar.

Provide optional feedback to Spybot's developers by typing it in the text box in the uninsatll window and clicking "Submit & Uninstall" or uninstall without providing feedback by clicking "Just Uninstall."

Click "Yes" to the uninstall prompt window and click "OK" after Spybot finishes uninstalling.

Click "Start" and click "Computer."

Navigate to the "C:\Program Files (x86)" folder on your computer. If you don't see a "Program FIles (x86)" folder, open the "Program Files" folder instead.

Right-click the "Spybot - Search & Destroy" folder in the Program Files folder and click "Delete."

Type "C:\ProgramData" into the address bar at the top of the Windows Explorer window and press "Enter."

Right-click the "Spybot - Search & Destroy" folder in the ProgramData folder and click "Delete."

Tips & Warnings
Type "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\" into the address bar instead of "C:|ProgramData" on Windows XP.
Spybot stores its backup files on your computer after you uninstall it. You can't undo any changes Spybot made if you encounter a problem after removing the backup files.
