How to Make Congratulation Cards
Sending a card of congratulations to a friend or loved one is a great way to praise her in her good experiences when you're unable to be there in person to celebrate with her. One of the best ways to personalize and add a special touch to the card is by making it yourself and tying in the personality of the sender, the congratulatory event and your feelings. All you need to get started are a few scrap materials that you probably already have lying around your house.

1
Draw the design of the card on a piece of scrap paper. Decide what you want to write to the recipient on the inside & outside of the card, and add images as you feel necessary. Don't forget to write some form of "Congratulations" somewhere.
-
2
Fold the paper or card stock that you will use to make the card in half, and outline the design lightly with pencil.

3
Use markers to write the messages and draw the pictures on the card. Cut up scraps of paper and glue them onto the card in the proper places if you decide to include that in your design. Too add color and a sense of celebration, cut up tiny pieces of colored paper and glue them around the card to look like confetti.

4
Complete the front, inside and back of the card. Look over the card to make sure it appears exactly how you want it and to check for places or things you can add in.
-
5
Sign your name on the inside of the card with a personal message of congratulations.

Tips & Warnings
Allow one part of the card to dry completely before moving on to another section. This ensures that there are no accidental smears across the card's design.
Layout the pieces of paper you plan to glue on your card before you start gluing them to make sure everything turns out the way you want it to.
