How to Figure a Personal Month in Numerology

Numerology, like astrology, uses objective facts about birth dates to determine both a person's characteristics and sometimes even destiny. Instead of using the stars and constellations as a guide, numerology uses systems based on numbers. Numerologists believe that humans alternate through a nine-year and nine-month personal cycle. By calculating the numbers in your birthdate, you can find what your personal month number is for any given month. Find the corresponding universal month number to figure out what it is you will learning or possibly accomplishing that month.

Instructions

    • 1

Write down your birth month's corresponding number. If you were born in May, your month's number is five.

    • 2

Put down the day you were born. If you were born on May 16, write down 16.

    • 3

Enter in the current year as a four digit number, such as 2011.

    • 4

Write down the current month's number. If it is currently November, write down 11.

    • 5

Add all of the numbers up as single digit numbers. Using the example above, for a person born on May 16 and calculating a personal month number for December 2011, you would add 5+1+6+2+0+1+1+1+1. You will come up with 18.

    • 6

Add the digits of the number you came up with. For the number 18, add one and eight. The personal month number would be nine.
