How to Make Homemade Blowing Bubbles
Blowing bubbles is a fun, simple -- and inexpensive -- way to entertain children. This is an easy recipe that children of all ages will love. For an easy way to store and use your homemade bubble mixture, re-use purchased bubble jars and blowers.
Things You'll Need
- Dish soap
- Water
- Glycerin or corn syrup (optional)
- Bowl
- Clean, empty plastic container with a lid

Add 1 cup water and 2 tbsp. dish soap to a bowl.

Mix in either 1 tbsp. of glycerin or 1 tbsp. of corn syrup, if desired. Creative Kids at Home recommends against including glycerin if bees and wasps are common in your area.

Use your homemade bubble mixture immediately or store it in a plastic container with a lid, such as an empty bubble jar.

Tips & Warnings
Replace the water with 1 cup of liquid tempera paints, and add 1 tablespoon of liquid starch, to create a colorful bubble mixture.
Allow the mixture to sit overnight for the best results.
Use drinking straws or loops of garden wire in place of plastic bubble wands.
