Handmade greeting cards are an excellent way to send a personalized message to a special someone such as your spouse or child. Instructions

    • 1

Obtain the desired music button or chip. Ensure that the button includes a pull-tab and adhesive backing. Many craft stores and online sites sell music buttons with prerecorded tracks. There are also manufacturers, such as Sound Expressions, that sell music buttons.

    • 2

Obtain greeting-card paper stock that is 14 3/4 inches in length and 7 inches in width.

    • 3

Fold the card stock twice to form three 5 1/2-inch panels. The outer left panel is the front of the card while the outer right panel is the inside of the card where the greeting text is usually written. The inner center panel is where you will attach the music button.

    • 4

Decorate and design the outer left and right panels of your card to create the front and inside of the greeting card. Write a message on the outer right panel that corresponds to the greeting card's theme. If it is a birthday card, write something for the person's birthday.

    • 5

Remove the protective adhesive backing on the music button. The music button generally has a pull-tab at one end, which activates the music in the card.

    • 6

Place the card on a flat surface so the cover of the card is facing downward. Position the card so the front panel of the card is on your left side.

    • 7

Locate the notches on the music button's pull-tab. Line the notches on the pull-tab with the fold between the inner center and left panel. The button should face toward the right, while the pull-tab should face toward the left. Stick the button to the card.

    • 8

Apply glue to the inner center panel and fold the right panel over the center panel to cover the music button.

    • 9

Fold the left panel over the card. Test the music button by opening the card, which will activate the music in the card.

Tips & Warnings
