How to Block Format a Word Document in Office 2007

Microsoft Word 2007 is a word processing application included in the Microsoft Office package. There are many formatting options in Microsoft Word, such as text color, size, font, bold, italicize or underline text. You can also justify the text to be aligned left, center, right or block. You can format the entire document, or you can highlight only certain text to block.

Instructions

1. Open Microsoft Word 2007 by double-clicking the icon on the desktop. Alternatively, open by clicking the Windows-logo button, click "All Programs," and then click "Microsoft Word."

2. Click "File" from the menu bar at the top, click "Open," and open the Word document.

3. Click "Select" in the Editing group at the top, and click "Select All" to highlight the whole document. You can also press "Ctrl" + "A" simultaneously on your keyboard to highlight the entire document. Highlight individual paragraphs by clicking at the beginning of the paragraph, hold down the left mouse button and drag the mouse over the text to highlight it.

4. Click the "Justified" button in the Paragraph section at the top. The justified button looks like a block with lines. The text you have highlighted, or the entire document, is in block format.
