How to Marry a Nice Guy

Define your own passions to find and marry a nice guy.

Most women want to marry a nice guy, but if asked what "nice guy" means, few could answer the question on the spot. As it goes with everything else in life, you won't find what you're looking for unless you know exactly what it is that you seek. When you figure out what you're looking for, keep your eyes and your mind open so that you won't overlook eligible nice guys ready for a relationship and marriage to someone like you.

Instructions

1. Write a list of things that define you, what your passions are, and what makes you unique. Write another list of the things you want in your "nice guy." Your lists will serve as the road map for your search.

2. Go on dates with one or more men who have some of the qualities you seek. If you don't know any nice guys to date, ask your friends for referrals, or create profile on a reputable Internet dating site. Attend community activities where you are likely to meet eligible singles. Give people a chance to get to know the real you.

3. Look past outward appearances in potential husbands. Pay attention to personality instead. "Nice" is not a physical trait, so you have look at the inner man to find the companionship and loyalty you seek.

4. Discuss your future goals with your prospective husband. Ask conversational questions that give you clues as to the life they want to lead. Find out what they like and who their friends are.

5. Be clear about your needs and meet your partner's needs as they arise. You will develop a loving, trusting bond and a great marriage.

Tips & Warnings

• If you are in a relationship with a man who says he's not interested in marriage, don't assume you can change his mind. Simply continue your search for a like-minded man who says that he wants to get married in the near future.
