I Have a DSL Modem & a Wireless Router: How Do I Determine the Router's IP Address?
Your wireless router's IP address allows your computer to locate and communicate with the router. Most of the time, this IP address is used in the background, so you do not have to manually enter it. The exception is when you want to configure your router: to access the router's administrative tools, you have to enter its IP address into your browser. You can locate this IP address using a simple command in Windows 7.
