Instructions

    • 1

Begin with clean eyelashes, though you can have your eyeshadow and eyeliner on if you prefer.

    • 2

Turn your hair dryer on low heat. Use your hair dryer to heat up the curling clamp on your metal eyelash curler for five seconds. Touch the eyelash curler to the inside of your wrist to make sure it is not too hot to use.

    • 3

Bring the eyelash curler to your eyes to curl your lashes. Get the clamp as close to the base of your lashes as possible without pinching your eyelid. Squeeze the curler shut for two to three seconds then release.

    • 4

Pull the curler out a few millimeters so the clamp is at the middle of your lashes. Squeeze the curler for two to three seconds then release. Repeat one more time with the curler closer to the tips of your lashes. This ensures the lash is curled in a smooth round shape instead of a sharp bent shape.

    • 5

Apply mascara. Waterproof formulas are known for holding curl the best.

Tips & Warnings

  • Some eyelash curlers are plastic. Plastic curlers work well in curling lashes, but don't heat as well as metal eyelash curlers. Metal eyelash curlers work best on lashes that are hard to curl.
