1
Determine how high up the curtain rod needs to be from the window to ensure the dressings cover the top of the window. Depending on the style, curtains can reach the floor or even puddle for a dramatic look. Casual styles may reach the window sill, or slightly below.

2
Draw lines on the wall with a pencil to serve as guidelines for rod hardware. Measure out the length of the rod and then transfer those measurements to the wall above the window. Depending on the length of the rod, install the mounting brackets 1 inch in from the ends and divide the total length of the rod in half to determine the center point if there is a third mounting bracket. Use a level to ensure the mounting brackets are evenly placed on the wall.

3
Secure the provided hardware onto the walls using the provided screws from the kit and a drill. If you are not able to drill into the wall studs, insert anchors into pre-drilled holes before installing the rod.

4
Slip curtain rings and curtains onto the rod before hanging. If you are incorporating a sheer curtain with your drapes, slide one drapery panel onto the rod, followed by a sheer panel. Add a second sheer panel and finish with the last drapery panel. Lift the rod up and onto the brackets to secure.
