How to Include Subfolders in WinZip

WinZip creates compressed zip files, which contain one or more files. WinZip doesn't store any folder information by default. If you drag and drop folders into the WinZip window, WinZip stores all the files inside the folders in the root directory of the zip file. If you extract this zip file, all the files will be in the same directory. If you include subfolders, WinZip stores the folders you add to the zip file and preserves your file-organization structure.

  • Type a name for the zip file into the name box.
