How to Set Up Google Voice to Translate Your Voicemail to Text

Google Voice records every incoming and outgoing phone call.

Google Voice allows users to create a second phone number that forwards to a mobile phone. Many users choose Google Voice to separate business calls from personal calls. You set-up Google Voice to transcribe voicemail to text by opening the "Voicemail & Text" menu within your Google Voice account. The setup process can be completed within a few minutes.

Instructions

1. Open an Internet browser on your computer. Visit the Google Voice website at google.com/voice. Type your Google account email address and password and then click "Sign In."

2. Click the phone number next to "Your Number" in the upper-right corner of the window.

3. Click the "Voicemail and Text" tab in the new menu. Check the box next to "Transcribe Voicemails." Google Voice will then automatically transcribe all voicemails to text. You can access these texts in the "Voicemail" section of your Google Voice account.
