Dust your covered strawberries with flavored candy powder before displaying them.

Decadent-looking and easy to hold, chocolate-covered strawberries make a good dessert or a snack for a sophisticated gathering. After working hard to wash, dry and decorate your berries, take the extra step of arranging them decoratively before serving them. Stacking them on top of one another will smear the chocolate and make them look less appealing. Platters of prettily arranged berries will please the eye and the taste buds. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the chocolate berries from the refrigerator. The chocolate needs to solidify before you handle them too much.

    • 2

Place a tiered tray or a cake tray on your table or counter top. Open the package of mini cupcake liners and set them on the counter.

    • 3

Pierce the flesh near the strawberry top with a toothpick. Lift the berry from the tray and set it, chocolate side up, in the muffin liner.

    • 4

Grasp the muffin liner by the sides carefully without squishing the berry and place it on the tray. Start at the center and work outwards. Continue to transfer the strawberries from the tray to the liners.

    • 5

Line up the berries pointing the tips in the same direction.

Tips & Warnings

  • Drizzle a melted white chocolate lightly on the tips of the chocolate berries before serving.

  • Use silver or gold foil liners for holiday celebrations. Try paper patterned liners for less formal events.

  • Keep strawberries refrigerated until you are ready to serve them.
