How to Cut Fudge Neatly

Various kinds of fudge are available.

Slicing neat pieces of fudge can be challenging if you don't bake it in a pan lined with tinfoil. Fudge is generally eaten in small quantities because it is very sweet. An 8-by-8-inch pan with fudge in it should produce 30 pieces. You can run the knife under hot water for a while to make cutting easier. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Let the fudge cool in the fridge for five hours while still in its baking pan and tinfoil. Pull the tinfoil and fudge out of the pan. Place the pan on the counter and slice it about an inch apart lengthwise.

    • 2

Push the knife down with one hand on the handle and the other pushes on the dull part of the blade. The fudge will be quite tough when it is still cool.

    • 3

Rotate the handle of the knife to the right and left. The fudge will stick to the metal knife so be careful that you don't break the fudge.

    • 4

Cut about half an inch along the width of the fudge. Use the same technique when taking the knife out.

    • 5

Cut the edges of the fudge to give it symmetry. You can eat the scraps yourself.
