How to Create a Chat Room in Google Talk

Google's Talk service allows users to communicate with each other via text chat or video. With Google Talk's desktop and mobile applications, this can even be done while you're on the go. If you want to talk to a single person or multiple people in one chat window, you simply have to create your own Google Talk chat room.

Instructions

1. Open up the Google Talk application that you have already downloaded onto your computer from Google.com.

2. Move your mouse cursor over the friends list entry of the person that you want to talk to. This will bring up a pop-up box.

3. Click "Invite" on the pop-up box. Confirm your friend's email address in the input box and press "Next." Here, you can also customize your friend's invitation message.

4. Click "Finish" to send out the invitation. Once your friend accepts, he will be added into a merged instant message-style chat window.

5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 for any additional friends that you want to invite into your chat session. These invites are done in real-time only --- if you log out of Google Talk or end the joint chat session, the invites will be invalidated.
