How to Put Your Own Drawings Into Photoshop
The Adobe Photoshop software comes with a large selection of tools to create a drawing from scratch, but if you've already got a picture, there's no need to duplicate your efforts. Bring your own drawings into Photoshop, where you can perform actions such as recoloring, cutting and pasting, fading, filtering and drawing on top of the drawing, all without any risk to the original artwork.

Open Photoshop. Click the "File" menu.

Click "Open." Browse to the drawing to open in Photoshop and double-click the file name. The drawing opens in Photoshop.

Pull down the "View" menu and click "Fit on Screen" so the entire drawing is visible.

Tips & Warnings
After working on your drawing in Photoshop, remember to save it with a new name to protect the original. To do this, click the "File" menu and click "Save As." Type a different name or add a version number onto the end of the file name and click "Save".
