How to Freeze Candied Orange Peel
Candied orange peel is a delicious treat made from cooking pieces of orange peel in a mixture of sugar and water. The peel is then drained of the excess liquid while the sugary coating remains, making it a sweet yet slightly sour treat. Candied orange peel can be dipped in chocolate, used in dessert recipes or as a garnish, and added to sauces. Make the candied orange peel. Place the peel on a sheet pan covered with parchment paper and place in the freezer until completely frozen. Remove the sheet pan from the freezer.

Place the frozen candied orange peels into sealable freezer bags. Try to remove as much air as possible from the bag by squeezing the air out.

Leave the candied orange peel in syrup and place into a plastic container. Fill the container almost to the top so that there is not very much air in the container. With this step you do not need to freeze the peels on a sheet pan first, simply place them into a container directly from making them on the stove top.
