How to Reset an RCA HDTV D52W23
The RCA company produces many electronic products, including a line of high-definition televisions. The RCA HDTV model D52W23 is one of these products, and can be used to view television programming, movies and video games in high definition. Once the television is properly installed, you may run into an issue where you are locked out of controlling the device due to parental control settings. You can reset the television, allowing you to create a new password and use your HDTV once again.

Turn on your RCA HDTV. You can do this by pressing the "Power" button on your remote control. If you are locked out of your television, you may not be able to use the buttons on the panel to turn on or operate the device, meaning you will have to use the remote.

Press the "Menu" button on the remote control. This will bring up the main menu for the television, even if you are locked out. Use the arrow buttons to move down to the "Parental Control" menu option and press the "Select" button in the center of the remote. You will be prompted to enter a password. Do not attempt to enter one.

Press the "CH +" and "Vol +" buttons at the same time and hold them down for 8 seconds without releasing. If done correctly, the password screen will be replaced by the main parental control menu. You now have access to this menu and will be able to make changes that will reset the television.

Use the arrow buttons to move down and highlight the "Lock Parental Controls" option at the bottom of the menu and press the "Select" button to choose it. You will see a screen prompting you to enter a password. Use the number buttons to enter a password and press the "Select" button when finished. You will see a "Television Unlocked" screen appear, indicating the password has been reset.
