How to Empty a Google Search Bar
The Google search history is enabled by default in the Google Toolbar's search box. This means other users can easily view the items you've searched for with the toolbar. If you want to delete the search history, you can do so easily by emptying the Google search bar. You can also disable the feature to make sure future searches do not appear in the search bar.

Tips & Warnings
If you do not see the "Clear History" button, Google recommends typing a single letter into the search box. The list, along with the "Clear History" option, will then be visible.
