How to Import the HP Smart Web Printing Icon Onto the IE7 Browser Toolbar

HP Smart Web Printing is a browser add-on for Microsoft's Internet Explorer Web browser. HP Smart Web Printing provides a toolbar button which appears on the Internet Explorer toolbar. You can click the button to view the HP Smart Web Printing sidebar. You can clip portions of Web pages from the sidebar, printing only the desired parts of a Web page. After you install the HP Smart Web Printing add-on, the icon automatically appears on your toolbar. If you can't see it, verify that the add-on is enabled and the icon is present on your toolbar.

      Download the HP Smart Web Printing software from HP's website (hp.com/global/us/en/consumer/digital_photography/free/software/smart-web-printing.html) and double-click the downloaded .exe file to install it if it's not already installed.

      Open Internet Explorer 7 and select the "Tools" menu. Next, select "Manage Add-ons" and "Enable or Disable Add-ons."

      Click the "Show or Hide HP Smart Web Printing" add-on in the list of add-ons.

      Click "Enable" in the Settings pane at the bottom of the window and click "OK."

      Right-click the Internet Explorer 7 toolbar, click "Customize" and click "Add or Remove Commands."

      Locate "HP Smart Web Printing" in the list of available toolbar buttons, click it and click "Add" if it doesn't appear in the list of current toolbar buttons.

      Click "HP Smart Web Printing" in the list of current toolbar buttons and click "Up" until it's near the top of the list. If it's near the bottom of the list, the icon may appear hidden and you'll have to click the arrows at the right-side of the toolbar to view it.
