How to Get Music Onto Your MySpace Profile

MySpace is a powerful tool for musicians and bands because it provides a free and easy way for your music to reach thousands of people. MySpace features a built-in music player that allows for songs to be played directly from the page within a web browser. The process of uploading a song onto your MySpace page is fairly straightforward.

Instructions

1. Go to MySpace.com in your web browser. Create a MySpace music profile or login to your already existing profile. If you have a personal profile, you must create a new profile with a different e-mail address or contact MySpace tech support to have your account type converted.

2. Hover your mouse over the "Artist" tab in the navigation bar at the top of the page or visit the "My Songs" link. Select "Upload Songs."

3. Select "Find Songs." Find the song on your computer that you want to upload. The file must be under 50MB in size and must be in one of the supported file formats. Supported formats can be viewed in a list by hovering your cursor over the "See all" note at the upper right of the song upload box.

4. Type in the desired song information, such as the song title, lyrics and any other applicable details.

5. Click the circular icon under "Public" to make your song playable by all viewers of your profile.
