It is easy to loop a PowerPoint presentation.

Looping a PowerPoint slideshow is simply a matter of checking a few boxes. Depending on which version of Microsoft PowerPoint you are using, however, the wording may vary. The latest versions of PowerPoint are 2007 and 2010, but if your operating system is Windows XP, then PowerPoint 2003 is still available to you.

Instructions

    • 1

Complete and save your presentation before you start your slideshow. Make sure your slideshow has automatic slide timings so each slide progresses to the next automatically. This can be done using the animation settings.

    • 2

Click on the "Slideshow" menu in PowerPoint and click "Set Up Show" then check "Loop Continuously until 'Esc.'" This is the only step for PowerPoint 2003. For 2007 and 2010, the menu will say "Set Up Slideshow" instead of "Set Up Show."

    • 3

Turn off your screensaver so your continuous playback is not interrupted while the computer is being idle. You can access your screensaver settings in XP by right clicking on the desktop, clicking on "Properties," navigating to the "Screen Saver" tab, and changing the screen saver to "None." In Windows Vista or 7, just click the Start button and type in "Screen Saver," then change the option to "None."
