How to Remove Skype Phone Number Dialing Icons
When you install the free voice over IP (VoIP) software Skype, you also install a browser add-on called Skype Click and Call. The add-on highlights and links phone numbers in your browser with Skype. When you click a highlighted phone number, the Skype application launches and dials the phone number using your Skype account. For some users, Skype Click and Call causes Internet Explorer to freeze or crash. You can disable the add-on by editing the settings in Internet Explorer.

Launch Internet Explorer and click the "Tools" drop-down button from the "Command" bar.
