How to Write a Memo to Several Co-workers
A memo is a very important tool used in many different types of businesses. Therefore, memo writing skills are also very important for professionals to have. You can write a memo to just one of your co-workers, for example, but it is much more likely that you will need to write the memo to several co-workers at a time. There is a specific format you use to make it clear which co-workers should be receiving the memo.
Instructions

1
Add the header sections to the top of the memo. The sections are to, from, date and subject, in that order.
-
2
Type in who the memo is to on the appropriate line. This is where you will add the full names of all the co-workers to whom the memo is going.
-
-
3
Fill in the rest of the information in the header, including the from, date and subject lines. The subject needs to explain the purpose of the memo clearly in just a few words.
-
4
Explain the purpose of the memo in more detail in the opening paragraph. Give enough detail so that your co-workers understand the purpose.
-
5
Give any specific details that are needed in the following paragraphs of the memo, including any actions that your co-workers need to take. For example, the memo might be going to co-workers in the human resources department who need to look up information about a client and members of the marketing department who need to start drawing up a client proposal. Make it clear which co-workers need to complete which actions described in the memo.
-
6
Type the last paragraph. This should repeat the actions needed and add specifics, such as a deadline, urgency and where your co-workers can go if they have questions.
