How to Have a Verified Twitter Account

Twitter is a social networking site that allows users to post "tweets," or text messages that are 140 characters or less in length. Twitter users may invite and accept followers, or "Tweeps" (Twitter Peeps) as some users call them. To obtain a Twitter account and start accumulating Tweeps, complete the account information and verify your Twitter account. A verified Twitter account simply means that you supplied an email address in your account setup, and Twitter sent an email to this account to verify that it was a legitimate email account belonging to you. You click on the URL provided by Twitter to verify that you received the email at the email address you provided.
