How to Disable the Low Disk Space Warning in a Vista Restore Partition
A low disk space warning is generated by Windows Vista when it detects the hard disk drive is mostly full. This feature is designed to warn you when you are running out of space but can become a nuisance when dealing with factory restore partitions. These partitions are sometimes not equipped with enough free space to avoid tripping the "Low Disk Space" flag in Windows, causing the operating system to continually advise you to clean up space on a full partition that should not be modified.
