How to Paint a Bumblebee Face

Face painting can be as simple or complicated as you'd like to make it. With a bit of paint you can turn any face into the face of any animal, bug or creature you wish. Bumblebees are especially easy to create, since they require only three colors and minimal artistic ability.

Instructions

    • 1

Dip the small paintbrush into the black paint, and apply a quarter-sized circle in the space between the eyebrows to create the head of the bumblebee.

    • 2

Paint a teardrop shape beginning at the head, reaching to the tip of the nose and almost to the inner eye creases to create the body of the bumblebee.

    • 3

Paint two black semi-circles extending from the point where the head and body meet, around the eyes and ending in the middle of the body of the bumblebee. You have just created wings for your bee.

    • 4

Draw two black antenna protruding from the top of the bee's head, and paint a small ball at the end of each antenna.

    • 5

Draw three black stripes across the width of the bee's body. Clean and dry the paintbrush.

    • 6

Dip the sponge applicator into the white paint and apply a thin layer of white paint to the interior of the bumblebee's wings. Clean or discard the sponge.

    • 7

Dip the brush into the yellow paint, and fill in the spaces between the black stripes of the bumblebee's body.
