How to Export Word to PowerPoint

Microsoft Office contains many different kinds of word processing tools and presentation tools in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Powerpoint. Because Microsoft Office is a collaboration of these kinds of programs and tools, it is possible to convert a Word document in to a Powerpoint document to be used in a presentation. To do this, you need to follow a simple set of guidelines for converting a Word document.

  • Open Microsoft Powerpoint from "Microsoft Office" found under your Start menu.

  • Scroll up to where it says "new slide."

  • Click the small arrow located under this link.

  • Click "slides from outline" when it drops down from this arrow.

  • Browse your documents to find the Word document that you want to convert.

  • Click on the document you want to convert.

  • Click "insert."

  • Right click and scroll down to "design."

  • Choose how you want the document to look on the slide and click "OK."
