How to Change the Background Color in Emacs
The eMac, an Apple product, shaped like an egg, is a desktop computer. The background screen color, underlying the icons on the desktop, is customizable. This is quite useful. For example, if you prefer great contrast, selecting black as the background hue displayed on the monitor, or white, maximizes this. For photo editing, a neutral gray stays out of the way. For a bit of color, kelp or lavender, more vibrant hues, are available. These are supplemental to background patterns or photo choices. Somewhat confusingly, Apple names what's displayed on your screen monitor the "desktop."
