How to Get a Business License for Seattle
If you are in the process of starting a new business, or taking over an existing one in Seattle, you are required to obtain a city business license. Seattle business licenses are renewed on an annual basis and are mandatory if your business is conducted anywhere within the city's limits.

Read business licensing information on the city of Seattle's government website. Note that business license fees are $90 a year and $45 a half-year if you apply for a license after July 1.

Download and print the business license application form, which is available on the city of Seattle's government website. Also print the instructions for completing the business license application form. Fill out the license application form according to the instructions, making sure to disclose what nature of business you are.
