Pack your cleaned wedding gown into a gown box. Most charities request that you include a sheet of paper that clearly states your name and address for tax receipt purposes. Even if you do not require a receipt, enclose a piece of paper stating that you do not need one so that the charity does not waste time trying to figure out where to send it.

Tape the box closed and wrap in brown packing paper. You can choose to mail it in a larger box instead of the packing paper but your postage cost will increase due to the extra weight. Clearly address the package to the charity and include your return address to ensure it can be returned in case it is undeliverable.
