How to Backup Contacts on Palm Pre

HP/Palm Pre smartphones back-up your contacts through the Internet.

HP/Palm Pre smartphones do not have a micro SD card slot for backing up contacts. Instead, contacts and other information are backed-up to your HP/Palm profile through the Internet. This allows you to seamlessly transfer your contacts and other phone information to another HP/Palm device. The HP/Palm Pre can also be set to automatically back-up your information daily, to ensure that you will never lose your contacts.

Instructions

1. Tap the "Launcher" icon on the bottom-right corner of the touchscreen.

2. Tap the icon for the "Back-up" application.

3. Tap the gray "Back-up now" button on the bottom of the "Back-up" card. You can also tap the "On/Off" toggle switch on the top-right corner of the touchscreen to turn on or off automatic data back-ups.

Tips & Warnings

• Pictures and videos will not be backed-up using this method; only contacts and application data are stored on HP/Palm's back-up servers.
