How to Zoom the Camera on a Samsung Convoy

The Samsung Convoy flip phone for the Verizon Wireless network has a two-megapixel digital camera with a zoom feature you control through use of the navigation buttons on the phone's keypad. When framing the subject of the photograph on the 2.2 inch display screen, you can further adjust the distance of your photograph by zooming in or out from the subject. The effect of the zoom on the subject shows on the screen in real time.

  • Pull open the flip portion of the Samsung Convoy.

  • Press and hold the camera button on the phone keypad until the camera starts up. The camera button has the symbol of a camera and a video camera on it, and is above the "Send" button.

  • Point the camera lens at the subject of the photograph and frame the subject using the phone screen. The camera lens is on the front of the flip section of the phone. When the phone is flipped open, the lens is on the back of the camera.

  • Press the right navigation button to zoom in on the subject and the left navigation button to zoom out from the subject.

  • Push the "OK" button to take the picture. The "OK" button is in the center of the navigation buttons.
