How to Connect My Scientific Atlanta DVR to My TV
Scientific Atlanta is a television hardware company now owned and operated by Cisco. The equipment, including digital video recorders, are used by a variety of cable and satellite companies. If you have a Scientific Atlanta DVR, you must hook up the equipment to your television properly. To connect the Scientific Atlanta DVR to your TV, you need component video cables and RCA audio cables available.

Attach the cable/satellite source cable running in from the wall into the "Cable In" port on the Scientific Atlanta DVR.

Plug the red, green and blue component video cables into the "Video Out 1" ports on the Scientific Atlanta DVR. Make sure the color of the cables match up with the color of the ports.

Insert the opposite end of the cables into the "HD 1 In" ports on the television labeled Y, PB and PR.

Attach the RCA audio cables into the red and white "Audio Out 1" ports on the Scientific Atlanta DVR. Connect the opposite ends of the cables into the "Audio In" ports on the television.

Power on the TV and Scientific Atlanta DVR after you see either the time or four dashes displayed on the DVR.
