Installing New Graphics Card Drivers
Most graphic cards have specific drivers that allow the card to be completely utilized. Without the specific graphic card drivers, you would not have access to the highest resolutions that the cards support, special 3D effects, Direct X support and many other graphic card features. Video card manufacturers also release driver updates frequently for bug and compatibility fixes, so if your graphics card is not functioning properly it may just need a driver update.

While each manufacturer has its own installer, you usually only need to specify the installation location. Your computer monitor may turn off and on during the installation as the graphics driver installs. Restart your computer to complete the installation.
