Few treats are more indulgent that a fudgy, chocolate brownie. While everyone who bakes seems to have their own variation which they consider to be the best, like any baked good, brownies need to be stored properly if you have leftovers. Brownies are at their best when they are moist and soft. Leaving them out uncovered or not properly wrapped could result in dried out brownies that have lost their flavor. To ensure freshness and a maintain the quality, store the brownies wrapped up tight. Does this Spark an idea?

  • Plastic wrap

Instructions

    • 1

      Cut off a piece of plastic wrap larger enough to fully cover one brownie square and lay it flat on a counter.

      Place a brownie square on the plastic wrap and fold the plastic wrap over the brownie several times, wrapping it tightly. Repeat for the other brownie squares.

      Places the individually wrapped brownies in a large freezer bag. Leave the wrapped brownies at room temperature and eat within four days.

    • 4

      Place the individually wrapped brownies inside of the freezer bag in the freezer for long-term storage. Frozen brownies should be eaten withing four to six months.

Tips & Warnings

  • Brownies that have any type of frosting made with dairy products needs to be kept in the refrigerator.
