How to Do a Final Copy of a Research Paper
The final copy of your research paper should be the culmination of all the work that you have put into the paper from start to finish. Your final copy should be clean of errors and should be everything that you want it to be. It should also fulfill any requirements given to you so that you know it will be a successful research paper.

1
Make all of the changes and adjustments that you have noted on your rough and early drafts. This should include spelling and grammar changes, changes in paragraph or structure and overall changes to your copy. Complete all of the changes, and go back through every draft to make sure that each thing you marked has been changed fully.
-
2
Read the paper as it is one final time, and make any adjustments you need to on the spot. It helps if you read the paper out loud, which allows you to edit for flow and for the speech patterns that come about when you read the paper.

3
Lay the paper down next to your rubric, or next to whatever information you first received about writing the paper. Make sure that you have met all of the standards and have done everything asked. Double check for things like format, page numbers and number of sources. This is your last chance to change anything so be certain that you have it right.

4
Create your title page, print out a copy, and place your final research paper in a report cover or binder so that you can present it in the best way.
