How to Decorate With Popcorn
Old-fashioned homemade popcorn garlands make an inexpensive alternative to the synthetic garlands commonly used in decorating. Kids and adults alike can string kernels of corn with a needle and thread, interspersing the popcorn with berries and soft candies for a touch of color. Hanging popcorn garlands around trees outside provides a tasty treat for wild birds, squirrels and chipmunks. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Pop unflavored popcorn over the stove or in a microwave. Working with flavored popcorn will get oil on your hands and any other surfaces the garland touches.

2
Cut as much thread, yarn or fishing line as you need to string around a tree or banister. Pass the thread through a needle, double it in half and tie a knot at the end.

3
