How to Start System Restore From DOS in Vista
The System Restore feature of the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system will restore the computer to an earlier point in time, known as a Restore Point. The Restore Point is a snapshot of programs and settings of the computer at the time the Restore Point is created. Restore Points are automatically created when applications or Windows Updates are installed. System Restore may be invoked from the DOS command prompt. This is useful if the computer will not boot up into Windows Vista.
