How to Make a Low-Calorie Lemonade Rum Drink

Many adults enjoy relaxing with a cocktail and are also conscientious of their weight. Some alcoholic cocktails contain hundreds of calories from the mixes, juices and soft drinks. Rum is a light spirit made from sugar cane or its derivatives. The low-calorie lemonade rum spritzer is a cocktail made from Crystal Light no-calorie lemonade, Sprite Zero and a light rum. It is a tasty drink for year-round enjoyment.

Things You'll Need

  • Crystal Light lemonade
  • 2-quart pitcher
  • Sprite Zero
  • Clear or light rum
  • Ice cubes
  • Straw
  • Fluid-ounce measuring cup
  • Cocktail glass (16 ounces)
  • Prepare the Crystal Light lemonade in a 2-quart pitcher. Store the lemonade, rum and Sprite Zero in a refrigerator for 24 hours before preparing the cocktail. Chilling the liquids keeps the ice from melting quickly.

  • Fill the cocktail glass 1/2 full with ice. Measure 1 1/2 ounces of rum into the glass. Add 6 ounces of lemonade and mix well with the rum.

  • Add 6 ounces of Sprite Zero and stir. Add a straw and enjoy.

Tips & Warnings

  • For an extra lemon-lime flavor, you can garnish your drink with a lime twist on one side of the glass and a lemon twist on the other.
  • Please drink responsibly.
