How to Remove the LCD Bezel on the Pavilion DV4

The HP Pavilion DV4 is a budget laptop that comes equipped with a sleek LCD screen display. The screen is protected by a plastic frame, known as a bezel. If you need to replace a damaged screen on your DV4, one of the first things you need to do is remove this bezel. There are only a couple screws holding the bezel in place, so it can be done quickly.

      Power off your Pavilion DV4 and unplug the AC power cable.

      Unplug the rectangular battery pack from its port on the bottom of the computer.

      Locate the two screws on the bottom corners of the LCD bezel. These are the screws that hold the bezel in place. Use your Phillips screwdriver to remove them.

      Insert your fingernail, or the tip of your screwdriver, into the seam at the side or corner of the bezel, and gently pry the bezel off of the LCD screen.
