How Can I Make a Homemade Sexy Scarecrow Costume?

Use a scarecrow for inspiration when making a cute, sexy costume.

If you like the idea of being a scarecrow but want to adapt it to a more female look, put together a costume yourself that will be sexy but tasteful and still have that scarecrow look. This costume would be cute when paired with some of the characters from "The Wizard Of Oz," such as Dorothy, The Tin Man or the Cowardly Lion.

  Create the scarecrow's skirt by using fabric glue to glue different colored patches all over a short, green circle skirt. Allow the patches to dry.

  Take a work shirt and add a few patches to that as well. Cut the shirt bottom a little bit to make it short, and when you put it on, leave the top buttons unbuttoned for that sexy scarecrow look.

  Pull the petticoat on and the skirt over it to make the skirt fuller. Put on your workshirt and make adjustments as needed.

  Wear a hat. This can be a straw hat you already have, or you can purchase a small cone shaped hat. Either way, glue some raffia to the hat to look like straw.

  Put on some boots.

  Tie strings of raffia around both your wrists and your legs, above your boots. Add some raffia to your skirt or shirt with the fabric glue if you like.

  Give yourself rosy cheeks with blush and create a cute scarecrow nose by drawing and filling in a small triangle on the tip of your nose with an eyeliner pencil.
