How to Become NARHA Certified
The North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA) was founded in 1969 to offer therapeutic horseback riding classes for children and adults with physical, emotional and mental challenges. Therapeutic horseback riding has proven beneficial for special-needs individuals. NARHA operates riding centers throughout the United States and certifies the instructors who teach horseback riding to special needs individuals. There are different levels of certifications and specialty disciplines available for individuals seeking to become therapeutic riding instructors.
