Instructions

    • 1

Roll cookie dough onto a greased cookie sheet to a depth of one-quarter inch. Using a moose cookie cutter, cut the cookies directly on the sheet and carefully peel away excess dough. Bake as directed in the recipe.

    • 2

Use a star tip and a pastry bag to pipe stars of brown icing over the entire moose. Use flat stars to create a matted appearance or pull towards you at the tip to create a shaggy look.

    • 3

Put a chocolate candy at the bottom of each leg to simulate a hoof and another to create an eye.

    • 4

Use scissors or a knife to cut a piece of taffy into thin strips and attach the strips to the tip of the tail. Flatten another piece of taffy with a rolling pin, roll the taffy, and shape to match the antlers.

    • 5

Cut a licorice strip to form a mouth.

Tips & Warnings

  • Always supervise children when using scissors or knives.
