How Should I Store Grapefruits?
Grapefruits hit their peak availability in midwinter, providing a much-appreciated citrus treat during the winter months. Grapefruit, like most citrus, doesn't freeze well but stores for an extended period without preservation. Grapefruits ripen on the tree so the fruit is already at its peak when you purchase it. The fruit doesn't continue to ripen after harvest but only begins to decline in quality. The fruit is juicier and more flavorful the sooner you use it after purchase. Does this Spark an idea?
