Visit the American Bar Association website at (americanbar.org). Find and click either "Find Legal Help" or "View the full directory," located on the left side of the "Popular Resources" link. Search the directory by selecting your state from the "Select a State" drop down menu and click "Go". You can also choose a state from the map or the state list below the map.

Visit your state bar association's website. For example, if you live in Colorado, go to the Colorado Bar Association website (cobar.org) and click "Find A Lawyer" located under the "Quick Links" section. Search the directory by entering your city in the "Search" box provided and click "Search" to view the attorney directory list. Click "View full listing" to view more information about the firm.

Go to the Lawyers.Net website (lawyers.net), which has links to attorney organizations across various specialties. You can also try the Lawyers.com website (lawyers.com), which allows you to search for attorneys by city and state throughout the U.S.
