How to Make Tea Out of Basil
Basil herbal tea or tisane, as it is more properly called, can be a delightful change from standard tea. Basil comes in many varieties, including cinnamon basil which tastes surprisingly like cinnamon, lemon basil which has a lovely citrus flavor and spicy Thai basil, which may be a little too hot for some people. Basil is high in antioxidants and naturally caffeine-free. Many recipes call for basil to be added to tea leaves to flavor the tea. Does this Spark an idea?
