How to Slice Images in Photoshop
Adobe Photoshop is a powerful image-editing software and is available for both Windows and Mac-based systems. One of the standard tools used in Photoshop is the knife tool. This tool allows you to cut around an area of a photograph, then delete material you don't want. This lets you slice out half of a picture, or even an individual you no longer want on the document.

1
Launch Adobe Photoshop, then open the project or image you want to edit.
-
2
Click the "knife" tool on the left side of the program screen. This looks like a small craft knife cutting through paper. Your mouse cursor changes to resemble this image.

3
Click and drag the knife icon around the area of the image you want to slice out of the document. You either need to end the cutting where you began, or cut completely through the image (such as from one side to another). The cut area now becomes highlighted.
-
4
Press the "delete" button, and the cut area is now removed from the image.
